Cabling a sand monitor to a remote wellpad can cost more than the sensor itself. The ClampOn BIRD Particle Monitor is a wireless sand monitor that removes the cable, the junction box and the wiring diagram.
PT Saka Nusa Persada supplies the ClampOn BIRD Particle Monitor in Indonesia as a ClampOn distributor. ClampOn designed BIRD especially for the downstream and unconventional market, where sites are many, small and far apart. You can also read more at ClampOn.

How the Wireless Sand Monitor Works
Like its wired siblings, the BIRD detects the ultrasonic signal from particles hitting the inside of the pipe wall just after a bend. As a result, you get reliable, real-time data the moment a well starts producing sand. You can then find the maximum sand-free rate and the maximum acceptable sand rate, and so limit erosion in pipes and structures.
One Year on a Single PowerModule
Energy-efficient DSP, a very low-power RF node and a sub-1 GHz ultra-low-power mode allow the sensor to run for about a year on one PowerModule. In addition, the BIRD watches its own PowerModule and tells you when it is time for a replacement.
Self-Forming Mesh Network
Each BIRD joins a multi-hop mesh that forms and heals itself, and every new sensor joins automatically. Therefore, a whole network goes live in only a few hours, even at remote and rural locations. In addition, data is encrypted, and firmware updates arrive over the air.
