Vibration fatigue cracks small-bore connections and supports long before a leak appears. ClampOn pipe vibration monitoring adds a calibrated three-axis accelerometer to the same clamp-on sensor you may already use for sand, pigs or leaks.
PT Saka Nusa Persada supplies ClampOn vibration monitoring in Indonesia as a ClampOn distributor. In fact, the function is available on ClampOn DSP instruments such as the topside particle monitor, the PIG detector and the subsea particle monitor. You can also read more at ClampOn.

How ClampOn Pipe Vibration Monitoring Works
First, a MEMS accelerometer inside the sensor measures the X, Y and Z axes. Then, analog filters, an analog-to-digital converter and the DSP process the data inside the instrument. Because vibration data is large, the sensor reduces it internally and sends only the results over Modbus or CANopen. Alternatively, it can stream raw data to ClampOn vibration software for detailed analysis.
Four Processing Modes
- Standard mode: RMS velocity, peak acceleration and characteristic frequencies per axis, and it runs alongside sand, pig or leak measurement.
- Analysis mode: spectra up to 800 lines per axis, peak-hold averaging, relative phase and raw snapshots.
- Legacy mode: a compact banded acceleration spectrum, for existing Modbus systems.
- Raw data mode: continuous streaming to a computer, so engineers can post-process every sample.

Where to Use It
Use it on topside pipework and small-bore branches near pumps, compressors and control valves, as well as on subsea jumpers and spools. In addition, combining vibration with the ClampOn DSP Particle Monitor or the Subsea Particle Monitor gives two measurements from one installation.
